FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS

CODE-COMPLIANT DETECTION, ALARM, AND MONITORING.

Fire alarm systems are not optional and not generic. We engineer NFPA 72-compliant systems for the building you actually have — survey, design, install, commission, and inspect. From a small-tenant retail buildout to a multi-zone commercial property, the goal is the same: a system that detects early, alerts cleanly, and passes inspection on the first walkthrough.

OUR APPROACH TO PANELS

WE WORK ON PANELS
OTHER COMPANIES WON'T TOUCH.

01 · LONGEVITY

FIRE PANELS ARE BUILT TO LAST

Some companies limit their service to specific panel types and recommend replacement for older models by deeming them "obsolete." Fire panels are engineered for enduring functionality. There is no specific code or regulatory requirement dictating an age limit for a fire alarm system — except in cases where panels have lost their UL listing, typically observed in systems over 50 years old. We prioritize the assessment and preservation of existing systems, advocating for repair or maintenance whenever viable, guided by the system's functional integrity rather than arbitrary age thresholds.

02 · TRANSPARENCY

WORKING WITH YOU WITH THE SYSTEMS YOU HAVE

When a system replacement does become necessary, our commitment is to provide a detailed explanation for why — substantiated with comprehensive documentation. No deviations from our standard installations and no panel age threshold automatically triggers a replacement quote. You get clarity in our decision-making process, so you can make an informed call.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

FIRE & SECURITY · FAQ.

The questions we get most often. Don't see yours? Call or send a quote request — we'll get back the same business day.

How often does a commercial fire alarm need to be inspected?
NFPA 72 requires annual inspection and testing for most commercial fire alarm systems, with quarterly checks on certain components depending on the system type and AHJ requirements. We handle annual inspections across the Springfield service area and provide signed reports for your insurance carrier and AHJ.
Will you service a fire system that someone else installed?
Yes. We routinely take over inspection, monitoring, and service on systems installed by other vendors. We do a full evaluation first so we know what we're working with — and so you know exactly what condition your system is in before signing anything.
Will you work on older fire panels other companies say need replacing?
Yes. There's no code limit on a fire alarm system's age, except in cases where panels have lost their UL listing — typically systems over 50 years old. We assess your existing system on functional integrity rather than arbitrary age, and recommend repair or maintenance whenever viable. If a replacement is genuinely needed, we explain why with documentation.
What's the difference between cellular and IP monitoring?
Both deliver alarm signals to the central station. Cellular uses a wireless cellular path; IP uses your internet connection. Modern systems usually run both as a redundant pair — if one fails, the other carries the signal. We default to dual-path because the cost difference is minimal and the reliability gain is significant.
Can my fire, security, access, and intrusion all run on one platform?
For commercial properties, yes — and we strongly recommend it. Unified platforms give you a single dashboard, single monitoring relationship, and trigger automation between systems (e.g., a forced-entry alarm starts camera recording automatically). We design the integration as part of the original scope so it works on day one, not bolted on later.
Do you offer 24/7 monitoring?
Yes. Fire, intrusion, and panic events go to a UL-listed central station 24/7/365. You receive event notifications via mobile app, and dispatch is automatic on verified alarms. Monitoring contracts are month-to-month or annual.
How long does a typical commercial fire alarm install take?
For a small-tenant retail buildout, often 1–2 weeks from device install through commissioning. For a multi-zone office or warehouse, 3–6 weeks is typical depending on size and whether the building is occupied during work. We schedule device installs and testing around tenant operations whenever possible.
